UN Security Council unanimously adopts a resolution calling for Sudan and South Sudan to halt hostilities within forty-eight hours and threatening sanctions.

AFP - New York (UN) (AFP) - The UN Security Council on Wednesday unanimously adopted a resolution demanding that Sudan and South Sudan to halt hostilities within forty-eight hours and resolve their differences within a period of three months, under penalty of sanctions.
He called the draft resolution submitted by the States, especially France and the United States to "resume negotiations without conditions" under the auspices of the African Union on all points of contention, particularly the sharing of oil revenues, and be completed within a period of three months.
